We are so excited to kick off the season with our Time Trials! Please review all important details below so we can have a smooth, fun, and successful morning for everyone!


⏰ Volunteer Information

βœ… All volunteers must check in with Amelia Liu in the baby pool area. She will be carrying a blue clipboard.

Volunteer Arrival Times

  • 🏁 Set-Up Crew: 6:30 AM
  • 🍩 First Half Concessions: 6:30 AM
  • πŸ§‘βš–οΈ Officials & Timers: 7:15 AM
  • ⏱️ Clerks & Timers: 7:30 AM
  • 🍭 Second Half Concessions: 9:00 AM
  • 🧹 Breakdown Crew: 10:00 AM

⚠️ Volunteer Reminder:
All volunteers must arrive on time and stay for their entire assigned shift or they will forfeit their volunteer point.


πŸŠβ™€οΈ Swimmer Arrival & Warm-Ups

Arrival Time

  • πŸ•– Swimmers must arrive by 7:15 AM
  • 🏊 Warm-ups begin promptly at 7:30 AM sharp
  • ⏰ Swimmers who arrive late may miss warm-ups

What to Wear & Bring

  • πŸ‘™ Wear your new navy suit or last season’s royal blue suit
  • 🧒 If wearing a cap, it must be a Sharks cap
  • πŸ‘“ Bring goggles β€” an extra pair is highly recommended!

Towels

Please bring:

  • 🧺 One towel to sit on
  • 🧺 One towel to dry off with

✍️ Writing Events on Your Arm

Please bring a Sharpie to write your events on your arm using:

EHLS

  • E = Event
  • H = Heat
  • L = Lane
  • S = Stroke

βœ… Write the numbers in the first three boxes and the stroke name under β€œS.”

πŸ“‹ The meet sheet will be sent later tonight or early tomorrow morning. Since this is a practice meet, sign-ups stayed open a little longer while final entries were organized.

Tomorrow we will have lighter concessions including:

πŸ“ Team Area Expectations

  • πŸŽ’ All swimmer bags, towels, and belongings must stay in the team area
  • 🚫 No swimmers are allowed in the coach seating area
  • πŸͺ‘ Coaches need a space to relax and regroup between events β€” please no seat stealing
  • βœ… Swimmers should check in with coaches after races

πŸ‘¨πŸ‘©πŸ‘§ Parent & Spectator Guidelines

Parent Supervision

  • 🚫 No swimmer under the age of 15 may be dropped off
  • βœ… Swimmers age 14 & under must have a parent or guardian present
  • 🚫 Volunteers, coaches, and board members are not babysitters

Team Area & Seating

  • 🚫 No parents in the team area
  • 🚫 No personal chairs are allowed on deck due to HOA safety regulations
  • βœ… During dual meets, seating will be available off deck in the parking lot

Watching Races

  • πŸ‘€ When your swimmer is not racing, please move back so all families can enjoy watching their swimmers
  • βœ… Please be courteous, respectful, and kind to everyone

πŸ’™ Older Swimmer Reminder:
Many of our younger elementary and middle school Sharks look up to our older swimmers. Please help set a positive example by using respectful language, showing kindness, encouraging teammates, and demonstrating great sportsmanship on and off the pool deck. Let’s avoid inappropriate language or negative slang and help create a team environment where everyone feels supported, included, and proud to be a Shark!
