Divisionals Meet – Important Info, Jobs, and Reminders
July 17th
Hi Team,
Attached you’ll find the assigned jobs for Divisionals. Please read the following carefully—there’s a lot of important information to ensure a smooth and successful event.
✅ Volunteer Check-In
- All volunteers must check in before their shift. This is required for your swimmer to be eligible to swim.
- If you still need volunteer points, you will receive 4 points for working this meet.
- Please do your assigned job. This is a team-wide fundraiser, and many volunteers have been working since January to make this season a success. It’s discouraging when people sign in and then disappear. Please be respectful, responsible, and honest.
- Volunteers will be wearing bright yellow vests for easy identification.
- Coaches will have wristbands that allow unlimited access to the pool deck.
🛠️ Set-Up Crew
- Friday at 7:30 PM (weather permitting)
- Saturday at 6:00 AM to finish setup
- If storms prevent Friday setup, we will begin at 5:30 AM on Saturday
🏊 Swimmer Arrival & Warm-Ups
- Swimmer arrival time: 6:15 AM
- First warm-up: 6:30 AM
- Do not be late!
🪑 Team & Spectator Seating
- All teams and parents will sit in the parking lot next to the tennis courts.
- This area will mostly be for team moms and swimmers, as parents will be working.
- Swimmers must bring their own chairs for seating in the parking lot.
- Please be flexible—as hosts, we may need to adjust jobs and locations last minute.
🏅 Awards
- Medals for places 1–6
- Ribbons for places 7–12
(New this year due to increased award costs)
🚗 Parking & Drop-Off
- There will be a designated drop-off area for swimmers near the pool entrance.
- Handicap parking spots will be reserved for those who need them.
- Very limited parking at Greenstone:
- 10 spots reserved for teams
- A few spots reserved for grilling
- Overflow parking is available at Byrnes and Mercer.
- Do NOT park on Greenstone Drive between the pool entrance and the stop sign. It’s unsafe and not meant for street parking. Let’s be good neighbors so we can continue hosting meets in the future.
☀️ Heat & Hydration
- It will be a long, hot morning—start hydrating now!
- Wear sunscreen and hats.
- On-deck space is standing room only. Marshals will move spectators back to the parking lot after their swimmer is done.
🚻 Bathrooms
- Bathrooms on the pool deck are for swimmers and volunteers only.
- All others must use the porta-johns in the parking lot.
- Volunteers: if you must use the pool bathroom, please ensure no swimmers are inside. Ask a marshal to assist.
🚪 Entry & Traffic Flow
- Spectators enter via the small gate next to concessions.
- One-way traffic only, staying to the right to avoid congestion.
🍩 Concessions
- Located in the parking lot.
- Serving donuts, pancakes, and breakfast sandwiches by Chef Alex—come hungry!
💙 Team Fundraising – Support the Team!
We’ve got some fun ways to support the team during Divisionals—every bit helps!
- 🐥 Good Luck Ducks – Available at the Good Luck Duck Station in the team area on Saturday.
For just $2, you can buy a duck and write a personal message to your swimmer. It’s a fun tradition and a great way to show support! - 🎟️ 50/50 Raffle – Tickets can be purchased:
