Sharks Get Their First Win!

We’re thrilled to announce that the Sharks earned their first win of the season against Kirkpatrick Farms, improving our record to 1-3. It was a great night of racing and team spirit!

🔥 Record Breaker Alert!
A huge shoutout to Tristan Soundappan, who broke two team records in the 9–10 age group:

• Backstroke: 38.13 (breaking a 2021 record)
• Individual Medley (IM): 1:23.58 (also breaking a 2021 record)

Way to go, Tristan!

🗓️ This Saturday: Meet at Potomac Station (Leesburg)

This meet will be larger than usual as Potomac Station has combined with Red Rocks this season. Let’s keep the momentum going and aim for another win!

Thank you to everyone who helped during the chaotic setup after the thunder delays. We know having both teams on deck wasn’t ideal, but your patience and support made it work. We truly appreciate it!

📣 Team Area Reminders

• We do not search for swimmers. If they’re not in the team area, they will miss their events.
• Swimmers must listen to the coaches, clerks and board members. Disrespectful behavior toward adults will not be tolerated.
• No swimmers in the semicircle or pool during races. Those who cannot follow instructions will be asked to leave.
• Parents/guardians must be present unless the swimmer is in high school.

Summer swim is about making great memories—but swimmers must be kind, respectful, and responsible. 

Sharks is not a babysitting service.

• Practice resumes: Monday, July 7
• July 9 (Home Meet): Senior Night 🎓 + College Theme – wear your favorite college shirt!
• July 11: Final regular season meet at Hartland

🏅 Divisionals – Saturday, July 19 (We’re Hosting!)

• No qualifying times needed.
• Must have swum in at least 2 regular season meets (ODSL rule).
• Can only swim strokes you have a time for.
• Volunteering is mandatory if your swimmer is participating—no exceptions.
• Awards: Medals for 1st–6th, ribbons for 7th–12th due to rising costs.
• You can qualify for All Stars at Divisionals!

🌟 All Stars – Saturday, July 26 @ Dulles Farms

• Must have a qualifying time.
• Must have swum in at least 2 regular season meets.
• Volunteering is required to participate.
• 2025 Qualifying Times
• Awards: Medals for 1st–6th, ribbons for 7th–12th due to rising costs.
