We’re excited for our next away swim meet this Saturday, June 21, hosted by the Lansdowne Lightning! The home team theme is “Christmas in June” — so feel free to get festive and dress up in holiday spirit! 🎅🎁🎄

Please read the important information below to ensure the meet runs smoothly:

📍 Meet Location:
Coton Commons Pool
19245 Snider House Court, Leesburg, VA 20176
(Next to Seldens Landing Elementary School)

📍 Directions
From Ashburn: Take VA-7 W → Belmont Ridge Rd N → Left on Riverside Pkwy → Left on Coton Manor Dr → Right on Coton Commons Dr. Pool is on the left.
From Leesburg: Take VA-7 E → River Creek Pkwy → Right on Riverside Pkwy → Right on Coton Manor Dr → Right on Coton Commons Dr. Pool is on the right.

⏰ Meet Timeline:

• Arrival Time: by 7:15 AM
• Sharks Team Warm-Ups: 7:30–7:55 AM
• Officials Meeting: 7:40 AM (near the gates/sheds)
• Timers Meeting: 7:40 AM (far end of the pool)
• Meet Start Time: 8:00 AM sharp

👥 Volunteer Assignments:

• 9 Timers
• 2 Stroke & Turn Judges
• Clerks
• 1 Ribbon Writer (please wait until after backstroke to report)
  Ribbon volunteers should report to the table across from the sheds (not the computer table).

📐 Pool Info:

• 25-yard pool
• Bug spray is highly recommended due to recent rain and mosquitoes
• No chairs on the pool deck — but bring chairs for the grassy hill overlooking the pool

🚗 Parking:

• Best option: Seldens Landing Elementary School lot (ample and adjacent to the pool)
• No parking Snider House Court
• Be respectful of neighbors’ driveways and property if parking on nearby streets
• 

🦈 Sharks Team Area
Our team will be set up in the grass area just outside the pool gates on the baby pool side.

👀 Parent Viewing & Deck Access

• The pool deck is small, so access is limited
• Parents may enter to watch their swimmer’s race, volunteer, or use the restroom/concessions
• No chairs allowed on deck
• Chairs encouraged for grassy hill viewing

🥯 Concessions
Lansdowne will offer a variety of hot/cold options, candy, Gatorade, and typical meet snacks — all inside the pool house. Bring cash or card.
