Let’s Keep Our Pool Beautiful – Respect the Landscaping

We hope you're enjoying the season so far. As we settle into our routine, we need to address a concern that has come to our attention regarding behavior at the pool.

Swimmers have been walking through the mulch and garden areas and jumping off the decorative wall—areas that are not meant for play. This behavior is not only disrespectful—it’s destructive. The pool and its surrounding areas are a privilege provided by our HOA, and we risk losing access if this behavior continues.

Even more concerning is that this is happening while parents are present and not stepping in. We understand that it can be difficult to address behavior in the moment, but your support is essential. When adults do not intervene, it sends the message that this behavior is acceptable—which it is not.

This is the first time we are formally addressing this issue, and we want to be clear: this behavior is not acceptable. We all share the responsibility of treating our community spaces—and each other—with respect.

To ensure a safe and respectful environment, we will  begin enforcing our Team Conduct Policy with respect of our pool property:

First Offense: The swimmer will receive a verbal warning from the coach or board, emphasizing the importance of adhering to behavior expectations.

Second Offense: The swimmer will be temporarily suspended from practice for a specified period, allowing time for reflection on their behavior and its impact on the team.

Third Offense: The swimmer will be removed from the team for the remainder of the season. No refund will be issued.

Out-of-Neighborhood Swimmers: If removed from the team, they will not be allowed to return in future seasons. No refund will be issued.

We are asking for your full support in reinforcing these expectations with your swimmers. Let’s work together to protect our community spaces and uphold the values of respect, responsibility, and teamwork.

Thank you for your cooperation.
