We had an exciting week and are gearing up for an even bigger one ahead! Here's everything you need to know: 

🏁 Meet Recap: Stone Ridge Sharks vs. Lovettsville Dolphins 

New Team Record! 

• Congratulations to Tristan Soundappan for breaking an 8-year-old team record in the Boys 9–10 50m Breaststroke with a time of 44.9 seconds! T
• The previous record was held by senior swimmer Lucas Gabriel. Way to go, Tristan! 
• Final Score: Sharks: 401.5 Dolphins: 540.5  Despite the loss to a larger team, our swimmers showed incredible heart and effort. 
• Relay Shoutout: A huge thank you to all relay swimmers—everyone showed up and we had zero no-shows. That’s the Shark spirit! 

🗓️ Morning Practices Start Monday – Finally! 

Practice Schedule: 

13 & Over: 7:00–8:00 AM

Kickboarders & Little Sharks: 7:45–8:30 AM 

8 & Under: 8:30–9:15 AM

9–12: 9:15–10:15 AM

✅ Arrive 10 minutes early

✅ Come ready to swim: suit on, cap (if wearing), goggles on head

✅ Label all gear (kickboards, fins) with your swimmer’s name

🧒 Kickboarders Start Monday at 7:45 AM 

• Dryland stretching begins promptly at 7:45 AM 
• Bring: suit, goggles, and a kickboard (if you have one) 
• First Kickboarder Race: Wednesday ,June 18

➡️ Reminder: Kickboard race sign-up is separate from meet sign-ups. Please sign up on the SwimTopia calendar 

👕 Team Shirts & Spirit Wear 

• Kristina Patrick will be on deck from 8:00–8:30 AM on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday 
• Extended hours on Thursday 
• Please label all items with a Sharpie! We already have found some left at the meet.

⏱️ Meet Volunteer Info – Please Read Carefully 

For Home Meets: 

• Set-Up Crew: Arrive by 3:45 PM 
• Concessions Assistants: Arrive by 4:30 PM 
• Timers & Officials: Arrive by 4:45 PM 

      ⛔ Timers will be replaced if not present before the briefing starts. No exceptions.

We are all volunteers and do not have time to chase people down. This morning it was much too difficult to locate all timers, which caused unnecessary confusion.

• All Other Volunteers: Arrive by 5:00 PM 
• Meet Starts Promptly at 5:30 PM (Warmups will be up to up to an hour earlier)
• Kickboard race will happen before the meet 
• Clean-Up Crew: Report during IM events 

🥣 Friday, June 20 – BYOC Breakfast! 

Bring Your Own Cereal 

• Team provides bowls, spoons, and milk 
• Bring a box of cereal to share 
• Swimmers will eat after their practice (Coach Rick says: “The more sugar, the better!”)
