Sharks,

1. Thank you for attending the parent meeting! We appreciate your support and involvement. Additionally, thank you for listening to the new behavior policies. While we know it was a lot to take in, it will result in the team running smoother. We know we will rarely have to use it! All policies are in the slideshow for your review.

Inclement Weather Policy and Safety Reminders: Our lifeguards are using a lightning detector to track lightning in the area. If it signals lightning nearby, the pool will be closed immediately, even if lightning is not visible. Here are the details:

• Practices: We will email or update social media as soon as we know about any weather-related cancellations. Sometimes practices might get canceled mid-session. If weather is in the area, please stay close.
• Meets: For HOME meets, we will wait until 6:30 PM. If the pool has not reopened by then, we will reschedule the meet. During any meet weather delay, all swimmers must be with a parent in their car or at home. No one can be in the concessions area or bathrooms. Sharks are not responsible for any swimmers during a weather delay.

Safety Reminders:

• When lightning is detected, the deck needs to be cleared immediately.
• Swimmers cannot wander through the parking lot at any age.
• The pool will be closed for 30 minutes every time lightning is detected again.
• Swimmers must take shelter with their parent in a car or at home.
• Swimmers cannot be in the pool area, including the concessions area or bathrooms.

Important Dates and Reminders:

• Named Cap Deadline: Sunday, April 27. Cost is $55 per set of caps (must be bought in sets of 2).

• First Day of Practice: Tuesday, May 27. The Practice Schedule is in the slideshow.

• Kickboard
• Goggles
• Fins
• Caps

Please put your name on all equipment. The slideshow has links to all equipment for your convenience.
