Kickboarders resumes tomorrow, Monday, July 8 at 7:45 am.

This is our last home meet on Wednesday, and our last kickboard race of the season.

Kickboarders will kick across the pool right after the national anthem with a kickboard and their coach.

Christmas in July: Stone Ridge Sharks vs. Loudoun Valley Estates. . Swimmers can accessorize Red, Green, Winter or Christmas attire.

Swimmers should arrive by 4:15 and be ready for warmups at 4:30.

Don’t Forget:

Senior Night is Wednesday. We have four seniors graduating from Sharks. We would like to honor them with small gift cards or items that might be useful for their dorm rooms. Please drop off any donations at practice, PASTA night, or 41984 Ural Dr.

A Pasta Night Message From Our Lead, Ms. Robinson

Can’t wait to see everyone for Pasta Night/ Senior Pep Rally night on Tuesday, July 9th at 6:30 in Arcola’s Cafeteria.

This is a POTLUCK. For those not familiar with a potluck, it is a gathering where each family attending brings a dish to share with all of the families. If we do not get more signups, we will have to CANCEL.

Most years we have a variety of noodles, sauces, lasagnas, baked zitis, or any Italian or pasta dish.

We are still looking for signups for Pasta/ Spaghetti noodles, Pasta/Spaghetti sauce, and bread or any special dish you would like to bring! Please Sign Up Here.

Also we will have a few extension cords to keep the food warm

Yard Games:

We will be having a Shark Pep Rally and yard games after eating on Tuesday. Do you have any yard games like Corn Hole, Horseshoes, Can Jam, Spike Ball, etc? Please bring to pasta night for after dinner so the swimmers can play. We will be setting up the games next to the playground.

Swimmers will not be allowed to play in the gym this year.

Sharks Meet Behavior Reminders:

With many of us returning from vacation, it is important to review with all swimmers our Sharks Code of Conduct ahead of a busy week of Shark Events. At One Loudoun, we had many compliments, so I know we are more than capable. Unfortunately, we had some issues at Red Rocks. We will continue to remind swimmers at practice, but please review these policies with all swimmers. If you have a swimmer in middle school or older, please take extra time to remind swimmers that respectful language must be used at all times. If you cannot say it in a Kindergarten classroom, it should not even be whispered on deck by anyone: Swimmer or adult.

Points to Review: Important reminders for ALL swimmers and parents:

1. Respectful Language and Behavior:

• Swearing or inappropriate behavior will result in being sent home immediately and a one-meet suspension.
• All swimmers are expected to display the utmost sportsmanship at all times. This means showing respect for teammates, opponents, coaches, volunteers and officials, both in victory and defeat. Encouraging others, following the rules, and maintaining a positive attitude are key aspects of good sportsmanship.
• Older swimmers, be mindful of your language and actions. As a role models for the younger swimmers, you are expected to set a good example. They are watching you!

2. Proper Use of Furniture:

• Standing on furniture is not allowed. We have had too many broken pool loungers after meets.
• Writing or drawing on chairs and loungers with sharpies or any other materials is strictly prohibited.

3. Safety on the Deck:

• Roughhousing, including excessive swinging and carrying kids on shoulders, is not allowed.
• Chasing and running around on the deck is not allowed.

4. No Graffiti & Trash Pick Up:

• Writing or drawing on chairs and loungers with sharpies or any other materials is strictly prohibited.
• Clean up after yourself and your team. It is non negotiable. We keep our area clean and respectful for everyone.

5. Stay in the Team Area:

• All swimmers are to remain in the designated team area so that we present as a unit.
• Volunteers need to find and organize swimmers to ensure the meet runs smoothly. All swimmers need to be within one area. We will not search the pool deck for you.
• Wandering off or being too engrossed in technology makes it difficult to communicate and organize effectively. We would prefer no phones or tablets for swimmers 12 and under.

ODSL Rules: 

Reminder that all swimmers and parents must adhere to the rules set forth by the Old Dominion Swim League (ODSL). This includes following all safety guidelines, showing respect for officials and competitors, and upholding the integrity of the sport.

All guidelines are in place to ensure a safe, enjoyable, and respectful environment for everyone. Our volunteers work hard to support the team, and it is unfair and disrespectful to make their jobs more difficult.
