Week 3 Sharks update
June 8th
Time Trials:
- Thank you to everyone for a great morning at the pool. We had a great morning.
- A big shout out to our Officials, Computer Operators and Timers as we were all helping others learn new roles and working with a brand new system.
Swimmers:
- Swimmers need to be gentle about writing on the older swimmer's backs. We had a high schooler with bad scratches from little ones pressing so hard. Also, remind them to never write on anyone's backs that do not want to be written on. Please be respectful to your fellow swimmers!
- All Swimmers: You must stay in the team area. We will not clerk outside the team area to line you up. You must have everything that you need for the meet in the swimmer area.
Parents:
- Please do not cross the caution tape. You are not allowed to be in the team area. We had multiple swimmers miss heats because of parents interfering in the clerking and team areas. If you are not working the meet, you must stay in the spectator area.
- If your swimmer needs something, they must quickly come to you and send them back immediately to ensure they do not miss an event
- When your swimmer is done, teach them to come to you with all of their gear.
Team Suits: Mandatory
- As a reminder, at any meet, wearing another team suit is an automatic disqualification I.E. Marlins, Machine, Champe, etc
- It is the same suit as last season.
- All swimmers must be wearing the royal blue suit for the remainder of the season to participate.
- You can purchase them here: Team Store
- If you are wearing a cap, you must be wearing the black Sharks cap this season.
Deck Adds: We cannot add swimmers on the morning of the meet.
- Watch the VIDEO to know how to add events for your swimmer at the meet. You must choose events for your swimmer!
Meets:
- For the rest of the season, we will have dual meets. This means we will be competing against another team.
- In this format, swimmers can swim a MAXIMUM of 3 strokes. You can swim less, but you cannot choose more than 3.
- If your swimmer was unable to legally swim breast, fly or IM at Time Trials, they will not be allowed to swim it again until we have the approval of the Coach Rick or Coach Zach.
